(note: The product images shows a white backing instead of a blue backing version) About Solvent Incal waterslide photo decal paper: Solvent incal decal paper is completely new product produced for Roland UV solvent-based inks and also works with other solvent-inks. The A02 white ink version is a special formulated decal paper to give better ink absorbtion with white inks. A02 is a little thicker(18micron) than the regular solvent decal paper(14-15micron) making it easier to work with larger decals aswell. Eventhough it is a bit thicker it still layes nice and flat on the subject, it also has a bit more adhesion making it stick better. Some users of this new A02 even noted they don't use an protective layer anymore after applying as it sticks good enough. Sunny waterslide decals are high-quality sheets with a very good adhesion and dissloves easily from the carrier. Incal decal paper is a bit thinner, but is therefore more difficult to solve and process. Decals are generally intended as a decoration but not for decorating consumables. If you really want to do this, we recommend working with a clear varnish or epoxy (Envirotex) for the maintenance of the decal. The decal paper excist of an adhesive layer and a water soluble layer. The final decal consists only of ink with an adhesive layer below it. Solvent decal paper does not need to be finished first, but it can make it easer to positioning, it also protects the print on the decal. For the type of clear coat you have to experiment, acrylic coat attached to the decal but of it adheres to the ink it depents on type and brand. A 2-k car paint can be used also. Please try before use. Quick method (detailed process you will receive with your order): - Print the desired image onto the decal paper - Let the ink dry for about 24 hours - Cut out the picture - Place the decal in cold to handwarm water - Remove the decal from the carrier or shove it directly on the surface of your object (depending on size) - Wipe with a cloth and let it dry.
